So, last week I went to that thing at Purdue. It's part of research, so everyone who participated got paid. It totals out to $250~

I put a good chunk of it in the bank, I need to add more to my storage so I have stuff for college.

Anyway, last night I had a date with Anna! We hadn't gotten together over the summer much, so this was good. Olive Garden just opened here last week, so we went there. Anna loves italian, after all XD

Food there was VERY good, they did a very professional job. I had some Chicken Alfredo and she had like, Chicken Parmasiana or whatever. And for dessert, we both shared some Tiramisu. I'd never had it before, so I liked trying it out.

We actually ran into a few friends at Olive Garden too, hah.

I drove to Gamestop after that, I needed to get a replacement Stylus for my DS since I lost mine last week. Anna played Punch-Out! there, she lost but it was fun to watch. Poor Little Mac looked REALLY beat up when she lost XD

Then we went to the beach, and walked down the pier to our town's lighthouse. At the lighthouse we mostly looked at the graffiti, which was REALLY amusing, who doesn't find Killer Muffin drawings amusing? XD And there were also two drawings of Mermaids there that were REALLY good, although one of them wasn't finished, as there were no features on her. :/

Then we drove around a bit, found a make-out spot (lol), messed around a bit, then I drove her home. All in all the date lasted 4 hours. It was nice. XD

I got the present Anna got for me in Japan right before I had to leave for Purdue. It was Tales of Innocence! I'm really enjoying it, I just got the airship yesterday and spent a couple hours filling in the empty spots in the mini-map. It was kinda' boring, but somehow I found it fulfilling. The game itself is a lot of fun, even though it's all in moonspeak. I can understand most of the moonspeak though, and I've found a dialog translation for the parts I don't understand.

Welp, I have the rest of summer to look forward to. I didn't talk about my birthday, I just got a handful of games, and Anna's going to give me some JP only games she got for me while she was over there. I included Mother 3 in the list I made of games she could get, but it was the equivalent of $150 when she checked prices on Amazon. I told her she shouldn't get it if it was going to cost that much :/

Yeah...I also drew a bunch including that drawing I linked to, so I'm getting better at drawing, thankfully.

So uh.

I had another period of non-posting. I wonder if I'll ever be able to get into LJ thoroughly again. XD

But all you guys on my friends list...I still consider you my friends. Really. I've been more focused on real life lately, though, so I've kept my attention away from LiveJournal...

It's summer vacation...I got my best semester report card ever in the mail today. No C's! My GPA is finally over 3.00. I'm really glad I was able to do it. That's part of why I've been off, I've been focusing a lot more on school.

As for Anna...she's on a trip to Japan right now. Yeah, it's school-related. I wanted to go to it initially, but after going to the first meeting about it waaaaay back in like October, I missed the next one and fell completely out of the loop until it was too late to try to get back in on it. It would've cost over $3000 anyway, my parents wouldn't be able to handle that. XD

My dad recently got his job back after his layoff. He's going back to work on Monday. I hope things go better for us now.

I tried to get my Driver's License last week, I flunked by not slowing down for a school zone sign (I didn't notice it). I'll be trying again on Thursday. My birthday's the 22nd, I'm hoping I can get it before I turn 18. Which would mean I'd have to pass on Thursday, of course. XD

Um...well, I guess this is my sporadic update for today. Heh. Watch, I won't post again for a month or two...or maybe I'll post consistently for a while then fall off...or I could get back on. IDK.

I had my SATs yesterday. I think I did pretty well on them.

My mom's working on Anna's dress, she made me wash the dishes for her so she could work on it a little while ago. Heh.


Anna and I are still doing well, my conversations with her always make me feel good about myself in some way. Even when she's scolding me on something or another that I'm doing wrong, she makes me feel better about whatever flaw later. I just love it. <3

She was going to come over today, but she's feeling sick. D'awww. ;_;

I'm still doing better in school, scrambling a bit to keep up but doing a much better job of it. My meds changed a little a while ago, they're doing better for me now. <3

I don't know what else to talk about...oh...wait...

I'm in vandaeron's Castlevania RP, I played a session earlier today and ended up having my first character die. He was badass while it lasted, but he eventually got stuck in an unavoidable death. :/

Oh well.

I'm working on an RP right now called "Iniala" for IRC. I've had a couple sessions of it thus far. For information, see here. It's on the Bit'sjoint network, at omega.anichat.net, tau.zeronexus.net, irc.bitsjointirc.net, or delta.chaosrpg.net, in the channel #EmainMacha. I think I might add that tidbit on the info page in a bit.

For those who might not know (particularly Jamie) CWC has ended due to Bry no longer being willing to continue to run it. I technically own the setting, so if there's a reboot of the RP I'll be running it. I don't want to leave the characters there in limbo, y'know? I'll see to starting over in that setting at an undetermined later date. No guarantees when, but I'll be sure to have the story and the like well-planned out before I go through with a restart.

The issue that Bry had was that he was running in a setting that he didn't have much input in, and I was pulling the strings. Saying that I used him unfairly would be pretty much correct. Yeah, I'm stating my crime in the open, no point in covering it up or trying to say otherwise, I'm past denial now.

I'll be sure to keep up on this journal a bit more closely now, although I won't post every day, most likely.

Holy crap I got myself to post.

Yeah, I've been inactive. I'm heads over heels in love, get over it!

Uh, yeah. Anyway, Anna and I are hooked up and all, I forget what I last posted about my status with her but we're together wooo. In fact, I'm taking her to prom.

And my mom's making her prom dress because she's awesome like that.

Today I'm going to go get my Tux, actually, Prom's next month on the 16th but you can't be too early to prepare. :P

Tomorrow I'm going to Mitsuwa. It's this awesome place in Illinois that's basically a Japanese community, we're going there as a field trip for Japanese Club. We're going to eat at this buffet of awesome where they'll apparently refill your cup just for taking one sip and they have crépes and junk in addition to awesome Japanese food.

I dunno' how much money I'll have for it, I'm going to partially pay for my Tux, not sure how much, but I've got a pool of $95 dollars, mostly from checks my grandma sent me for holidays that I never cashed (well, one's from Easter, the other's from Christmas). My dad's paying for most of it, obviously, and it's just a rental of course.

Either way, tonight Anna will meet up with me, first to drop all the materials off so my mom can sew her dress and also retake her measurements (hehehehe, yeah, I'm a pervert shut up 8|). Then she's coming with when I get my Tux so she can make sure I don't get something stupid. XD

I haven't updated in a while, so I have srs business to tell you guys about: my dad got laid off of his job earlier this month, it was the Monday before Easter.

That's part of why I'm paying part of the money for the Tux. It's also why I haven't gotten FF: EoT for my DS yet. Don't worry, everyone who I told on IRC that I'd get it, I'll grab it ASAP when my dad either A) gets his job back, or B) gets a new one.

Still, it says a lot about the economy when US Steel, one of the strongest companies around, is laying workers off. :/

Also, Anna's been lending me the .hack//GU series, I'm finishing up Vol. 2 atm. She's borrowing my DS along with an awesome game: Theresia. Hey Jamie, if you're reading this, let it be known that you absolutely have to fucking buy Theresia for the DS. It's right up your alley, trust me. :3

Well, okay, I got stuff done today.

1) Finally turned in something for JP...right before the NEXT related assignment was given out. Yeah. I like, ran in all epic with the binder of junk and went all 「パンチをください！」 and put in holes so that the paper would go in the rings and ffff.

I was running out from AP US History after I set my stuff for there down so I could turn that in, nearly CRASHED INTO Anna (okay I'm exaggerating), she's all like "What, are you looking for me?". Of course, I nearly laughed before I told her, "Naw, I was going to run to JP." Lucky for me that the Social Studies classes are in the same area of the building as the Foreign Language classes.

2) ffffff guys I got a perfect score on my Physics test yesterday. Well, okay, I technically missed one but the teacher forgot to mark it XD

Also now that I turned in something I'm missing, once I get some stuff together (unchecked homework, dun' ask) I'll prolly have an A in Physics. Yeah, my grades are going up.

3) Called Anna for once because I felt like a jerk for not talking to her outside of school much. Went great ♥

4) Bought some Girl Scout cookies off of my mom. Gotta' make sure not to eat 'em all too fast. I got 6 boxes, I can't eat that much at once, lol. Prolly going to share some at school tomorrow.


Yeah, talking with Anna really made me feel better, I'm in a much better mood than usual. I just gotta' make sure not to forget my homework. XD

Man, am I inactive now.

Not doing much lately, I guess. I went to that Engineering Seminar at Purdue Calumet on Thursday, turned out cool. Got a whole thing of mints for Anna (she loves mints. With a raging passion. She ate every single one within first period.) and some screwdriver/light/level thing for my dad and myself (it was given out by US Steel, I told them my dad worked there and they gave me two.)

There was a pep rally at school yesterday, made my ears feel like shit, and it was stupid. Why'd the Juniors have to sit next to the band? D:

Right now I'm just playing more FEDS. I keep trying to see how badly I can abuse the arena.

Well, I got Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon yesterday. With the art cell.

The thing is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, never removing it from the plastic. Having even a tiny mote of dust touch it would be a sacrilege. <3

In terms of gameplay, this game's much more streamlined than other Fire Emblems. Stylus control is responsive, and makes the game flow by faster. Not having to sift through tons of status screens (they're on the top screen now) also speeds the game up. Attack animations are fluid and quite fast, since it's on the top screen there's no real delay between attacking and the animation.

In terms of difficulty, bit easier than most games. The original FE was easy in comparison to others to begin with, with the weapon triangle it's even easier. Geez. Not saying it's a complete pushover, though, it's just not a big challenge unless you're playing on hard mode.

Conversations are written well. All the characters talk with somewhat different mannerisms, making them stand out more to compensate for less talking than in other games. They generally sound somewhat...British, I guess. Not that that's a bad thing. Nobles talk like nobility, peasants talk like peasants.

Liking it so far.

In terms of the last few days, well, not much going on, except I'm talking a lot with Anna, of course. I have a college visit tomorrow, hope that turns out well.

Note to self: flowers work

Uh, yeah, there was this carnation thing where we could send flowers to someone right? Well, I was GOING to do that, but uh, lol, I ended up not buying them before the deadline.

So I got somebody a nice bouquet of White Roses and hoped for the best. Turned out great, to say the least.

Unfortunately, it's Friday the 13th, so bad stuff HAD to happen, but not until I got home.

Two things:

1. One of the leaders that my mom works with to run the girl scout troop...died in a car accident this morning. Not directly affecting me, but it's not a good thing, to say the least.

2. Okay, my baby brother knocked our Wii over for the umpteenth time. This time, though, it caused the Wii to refuse to take any discs, which likely means something got lodged inside. Had to file for repairs, just got done. My dad made me do almost all of it even though he was paying, since I'm "better at typing".

So, uh, today was complete win and complete fail at the same time. Figures.

Well, I guess the Japanese Club losing the Foreign Language Olympics (friendly matches between all the Language clubs) in last place was bad too, but we at least had fun doing it.

Ups and downs, indeed. At least she liked the flowers. And made her actually blush. She really is soft on the inside, despite how rough she typically acts. Hah.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention: my pen EXPLODED AT LUNCH while I was drawing something up to help out with Precalc for her. Yeah, today is just plain weird.

Was busy all day yesterday, first Japanese Club, then that Shrink (he's upping the antidepressant because it seems to be helping a LOT, and I think that's a good idea), then Guitar Lessons, then I had to babysit my sisters and baby brother until like 10.

Well, for better or worse, yesterday was hectic, as I was constantly running around trying to get things done until like 10. Not that great of a day, either, I went to bed much later than I should've the previous night, and screwed up and didn't get to eat a lunch.

And yet, somehow, I think my attitude managed to improve overall, as I suddenly realized that I should stop thinking "I have to do x" and instead think of it as "I will do x". Having my mind on that subtly different track has made me get a lot more done, because if I think that I "have" to do it then that means I don't actually want to do whatever task, even though I should. Saying I "will" do it means that I'm going to do it because I want to do whatever. It helps, trust me.

Hell, I already got most of my homework done within an hour and a half of getting home because of this shift in mentality. Geez.

On another note, one of the things I did last night was this project for my AP US History class, that I had to do with Anna (if anyone forgot, she's the local "highly opinionated awesome girl" in my area :x). We ended up doing it over IRC chat, and I just sent her stuff I wrote up via pastebin. Handy.

But, that's not why I'm talking about this. This morning, when we turned in our stuff, which looked borderline okay/good on that poster-board, we found that one of the student pairs had printed out all their stuff on one paper, and then LAMINATED that bitch. Holy crap, they made EVERYONE in the class feel inferior, and yet, at the same time it's absolutely hilarious somehow. Don't ask me how, it just is.

Um, not much has happened this week in school, mostly just boring. Our van's transmission got replaced, we got it back yesterday.

Been RPing on IRC with the usual people, but...well, it seems that I'm having problems RPing with everyone. I know I'm RPing my characters in ways that make sense to me, but I keep pushing everyone else's buttons and I really don't want to do that. Not only that, but I've been getting annoyed by other characters for no good reason. It'll sort out eventually, I hope.
